MLAs debate amendment 17 and amendment 18 of the The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020.
These regulations were discussed in one debate which were then voted on and approved at the end of the debate. The regulations concern restrictions involving:
Amendment no. 17 amends the time period of the restrictions and amends restrictions on non-essential retail businesses, sporting activities, leisure facilities, close contact services, hospitality services and places of worship.
Amendment no. 18 increases the number of people who can attend a place of worship for the purpose of recording or live streaming an act of worship to no more than 8 persons and removes sports massage therapy from the list of close contact services.
