Question Time: Justice Monday 21 June 2021

Minister of Justice, Naomi Long answers Members questions on Monday 21 June 2021. 

1 To ask the Minister of Justice how many people have been convicted of animal cruelty in the last three years.

2 To ask the Minister of Justice what progress is being made to protect young people in non-statutory settings from sexual abuse.

3 To ask the Minister of Justice to outline the steps she has taken to counteract the threat of telephone scams.

4 To ask the Minister of Justice to outline any work her Department is undertaking to promote the EU Settlement Scheme with vulnerable victims of crime.

5 To ask the Minister of Justice for an update on the progress of the implementation of standardised Relationship and Sexuality Education in schools, as recommended in the Gillen Review Report into the law and procedures in serious sexual offences in Northern Ireland.

6 To ask the Minister of Justice why overtime pay for prison officers is not on par with other civil servants.

7 To ask the Minister of Justice, in light of the work to upgrade powers under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, to outline how proceeds of crime that have been confiscated will be used.
