During the meeting the Committee received a briefing from Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officials on the exit from the EU and consequent justice related issues and key policing priorities/challenges.
The Committee also deliberated on the clauses of the Domestic Abuse and Family Proceedings Bill.
The Committee also considered Department of Justice Main Estimates; development of a joint secure care and justice campus for children on the Woodlands/Lakewood site – Proposed Consultation; the consultation on the Law on Child Sexual Exploitation; Department of Justice Draft Corporate Plan 2019-2022 and Business Plan 2020-21; and restarting the accreditation process for community based restorative justice organisations.
