The Private Tenancies (Coronavirus Modifications) Bill, introduced by Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey, progresses through the Assembly with accelerated passage. The Bill will aim to provide private renters with additional protections during the Covid-19 period. The legislation will extend the notice to quit period a landlord must give a tenant to 12 weeks.
