This recording is accompanied by BSL interpretation and goes through the key points of an Assembly Research Paper that was produced in response to a request from the Committee for Communities.
The Committee requested research into the proposals and implications of the Sign Language Bill.
This video goes through the ‘Key Points’ section of the paper (which can be found on pages 3-5 of the paper).
As well as producing the research paper, the Assembly researchers who played a part in gathering information for the paper appeared before the Committee for Communities on 27th February 2025 to present their findings and answer questions.
