MLAs discuss and approve the statutory rule draft Discretionary Support (Amendment No. 2) (COVID-19) Regulations (NI) 2020. These Regulations, proposed by Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey, will have the effect of enabling the Department to provide a Discretionary Support award to claimants who find themselves in a crisis as a result of COVID-19.
