Request Assembly Video Clips

Most recent Assembly video coverage is available on this website and our YouTube channel.

If you would like a specific clip of one of these recordings, you can request it by email.

If you would like a clip of Assembly coverage that isn’t available on this website, you can also request that and we will assess your request and get back to you.

Requesting a Clip

Video clips can be requested free of charge by emailing soundandvision@niassembly.gov.uk.

What to Include in Your Request

  • Date of the Assembly meeting
  • Start time of the desired clip*
  • End time of the desired clip*
  • Brief description of the content (e.g., Ministerial statement on education)

* The timing you provide could be the actual time of day or the timestamp from a video recording – the more information you include, the quicker it will be that your clip can be sourced and processed.

Processing Your Request

We aim to fulfill all requests within the specified timeframe whenever possible.

  • Requests received between 9:00am and 3:30pm will be processed as soon as possible depending on:
    • the volume of requests,
    • the request backlog,
    • the processing time required (longer clips require longer times to process) and
    • the capacity of the team. We are a small team and aim to process and return clips as soon as we can but competing pressures / priorities mean that we cannot guarantee a clip can be sourced, processed and delivered on the same day. We aim to process the previous day’s backlog as soon as we can the following day, but other priorities can impact turnaround times.
  • It will be difficult to process requests received between 3:30pm and 5:00pm on the same day but we will try our best, depending on capacity.
  • Requests received after 5:00pm will not be processed until the following working day.
  • During busy periods, such as Question Time on Mondays and Tuesdays when the Assembly is sitting, it may take longer for your request to be completed.

Content of the clip

We do our best to provide clips as close to what is requested as possible but please keep in mind that, due to the process employed, there may be a few seconds extra at the beginning or end of the clip. Please note that we provide the video clip only and do not provide subtitle files or a subtitling service.

Downloading Your Clip

Once your clip is ready, we will send you a link to download it.
